This document is aimed at providing a general guidance on Good Manufacturing Practices to small and medium manufacturers of Health Supplements/ Nutraceuticals and Ingredients to ensure high standards of safety, hygiene, quality and traceability during the manufacturing process.

This guidance document should be read with the Food Safety and Standard Act 2006, Rules and Regulations 2011 in force or as amended from time to time.
Compliance Guidance
This ReCHaN Compliance guidance is intended for all food business operators engaged in manufacturing, import, distribution and sale of health supplements and nutraceuticals as well as food safety officers implementing the regulation. It helps the food business operators to find key regulatory requirements, similarities and understanding of global best practices.

It covers product definitions, labelling requirement, ingredient and rules on licensing and import.
